Roots to Grow and Wings to Fly

Do you know what caterpillars do in a cocoon? They don’t just grow wings, they dissolve. They become completely liquid, and the cells reconfigure themselves into a totally different animal.
– Martha Beck, Oprah Magazine.

How many of you have shed more than a few skins with the circumstances you have walked through? How many of you have risen like a Phoenix out of the flames?  How many of you have become liquid?

When I read that, “becoming liquid”, I was like, yes that’s what was happening in my deep moments of transformation.

My identity dissolving, liquifying, from wife to widow to now single.

My spirituality shifting, friendships morphing, career shifts and new purpose emerging.

For two years after my husband died, I buried myself in books and films. A dear college friend suggested I go visit another friend in Park City and check out the Sundance Film Festival. There I would find my tribe of storytellers and make a career change to running film festivals for the next ten years.

What is calling you?   Let go, go to liquid.  Let go of this identity that no longer serves you. Let the new you emerge. It is ready.

Together we Connect,

Louisa
