Easy on the Heart

I am short on words this week. In this season of giving and receiving I find myself pausing to take in the lights of the season, the smell of pine and holiday songs. 

The holiday season is different for all of us. In the midst of all the running around I can listen to the voice that wants to remind me, stress me out or beat me up about all the TO DO’s.

Or

I can listen to a new voice this year that is emerging.  One of self-compassion… and give the other voice a time out.  We are doing the best we can and ‘tis the season to be jolly. Try a Starbucks Peppermint Frappuccino, or my new favorite Honey Ginger Tea! 

Or as Ram Dass says, ” Be here now.” And “the next message you need is always right where you are.”
